| Day 10 - Continued - Jekyll Island Great day for the Scouts, they packed up their lunch and we went to the St. Andrew's Picnic Area. Nice, plenty of tables, an outdoor shower facility and of course the porpoises within 75 yards. Who could ask for more. The scouts viewed the porpoises from land and in the sound, good videos we hope. After lunch they continued swimming in the sound, viewing and photographing the porpoises up close. Meanwhile some of the adults are changing a tire on one of the vehicles in the sweltering heat and humidity. Later back at the state owned and run campground there were plenty of stories to share, a good meal and the fire ants were biting. |
